G. Hudson Worthy

Hudson Worthy is a member of the firm’s civil litigation and insurance defense groups, handling a broad range of litigation matters.

Before joining the firm as an associate, Hudson was a clerk for the Honorable David C. Norton in the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina. He also spent a summer during law school as a clerk with BWPH.

While in law school, Hudson was the Senior Research Editor for the Charleston Law Review and was a Presidential Honors Scholar. He earned his Bachelor of Arts at Sewanee: The University of the South in global studies with a focus on economics and history and a minor in finance.

Along with Allie Burns, Hudson serves on the South Carolina Bar Association Judicial Qualifications Committee. Members of this committee evaluate candidates for selection to the South Carolina Supreme Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals, South Carolina Circuit and Family Courts, and Administrative Law Court.

When he’s not in the office, Hudson enjoys being with family, hitting the green, or spending the day on the water. He is also a devoted South Carolina Gamecocks fan, having played varsity football during his undergraduate studies.
