Andrew T. Pitchford

Andrew Pitchford is an associate in the firm’s civil litigation group, focusing his practice on trucking and transportation law matters.

Andrew is a results-driven litigation attorney with extensive experience in complex litigation. Before joining Barnwell Whaley, Andrew practiced at prestigious regional firms, one of which was where he was part of the team for a national opioid multidistrict litigation. He is highly skilled in case management, settlement negotiations, courtroom representation, and trials. A natural problem solver, he works efficiently and collaboratively, ensuring that every step of the legal process aligns with his clients’ goals and expectations.

A double West Virginia University graduate, Andrew earned his law degree in 2017 and a Bachelor of Arts in 2014. He concentrated in History during his undergraduate studies, with a focus on European and world history, and pursued a minor in French, resulting in bilingual proficiency. During law school, he was a student attorney in the child and family law clinic, where he worked on child custody and visitation matters, in-school IEPs, and served as a Guardian ad Litem. Andrew continued this area of practice for several years in Charleston, SC, where he had experience guiding clients through complex litigation matters from case inception through trial. Andrew is licensed to practice law in South Carolina and West Virginia.
