Allie Burns is a member of the firm’s civil litigation and insurance defense groups.
Before joining the firm as an associate, Ms. Burns was an intern for the Honorable Jane C. Barwick in the Superior Court of Fulton County in Atlanta, Georgia. She also spent a summer during law school as a clerk with Barnwell Whaley.
Along with Hudson Worthy, Ms. Burns serves on the South Carolina Bar Association Judicial Qualifications Committee. Members of this committee evaluate candidates for selection to the South Carolina Supreme Court, South Carolina Court of Appeals, South Carolina Circuit and Family Courts, and Administrative Law Court.
While in law school, Ms. Burns served as the Staff Development Editor of the ABA Real Property Trust and Estate Law Journal. Earning her degree cum laude, she also received CALI Awards for State and Local Taxation and Problems in Professional Responsibility.
