A registered patent attorney for more than 30 years, Killough has obtained more than 275 U. S. patents for his clients, participated in prosecuting more than 100 foreign patent applications and has filed more than 1,000 trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Offices. He is an adjunct professor, teaching patent law, at the University of South Carolina School of Law and he also contributes to Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law Intellectual Property and Technology.
Killough is recognized as a Fellow with the Litigation Counsel of America, is listed in South Carolina Super Lawyers, and was named Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America for Charleston in 2015 for his work in corporate law, and named to the Best Lawyers list for his work in that area as well as for litigation – intellectual property.
