Six additional Barnwell Whaley attorneys chosen for 2015 South Carolina Super Lawyers list
Barnwell Whaley member attorney M. Dawes Cooke, Jr. was chosen as the number one attorney in the State of South Carolina for the second year in a row for the South Carolina Super Lawyers list, released this week. In addition, six Barnwell Whaley attorneys join Cooke in the listings, David S. Cox, B.C. Killough and Randell C. Stoney, Jr. have been selected to the 2015 South Carolina Super Lawyers list, and Bradley Banias, Jeffrey Bogdan, and Alissa Fleming have been selected to the South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars list. Each year, no more than five percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive the Super Lawyers honor, and 2.5 percent are selected for the Rising Stars honor.
M. Dawes Cooke, Jr.’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation, professional liability defense, and personal injury litigation. A much sought after mediator and arbitrator, Cooke frequently lectures on the subject of alternative dispute resolution. 2015 marks the second year in a row that Cooke has been listed as the number one attorney in South Carolina by Super Lawyers, a rating service which has regularly selected him in the top ten in South Carolina. Those included in the 2015 South Carolina Super Lawyers list include B. C. Killough, a registered patent attorney with over thirty years of experience counseling businesses in their corporate and intellectual property matters. Randell C. Stoney, Jr. focuses his law practice on premises and product liability, construction law and litigation and general liability. Stoney has been listed in Super Lawyers annually since 2008 and is named as a Best Lawyer in the area of product liability litigation – defendants.
